DISCLAIMER: Like with every passing year, I admittedly have not seen EVERY SINGLE movie that was released in 2023. Especially the last few months with all the turmoil going on in the Jewish world, I’ve only been able to cover a certain amount of films. Please understand if one of your favorites is not on this list. If there are any notable movies I missed such as The Holdovers or Past Lives, I’ll post my brief thoughts of them on my story. I didn’t get to review Saltburn but I’m glad I watched it finally. Barry Keoghan deserves best actor or the Academy is on crack. I thought Oppenheimer was good, but I wasn’t blown away like most were. As for my number one pick, I had trouble deciding between John Wick Chapter 4 and Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One. I firmly believe that both are incredible action films with great replay value, but at the end of the day, John Wick Chapter 4 is the more complete movie, as it’s a fitting conclusion to a fantastic action movie saga. As always, my list is not the “RIGHT” list and is purely subjective based on my personal tastes, biases, and enjoyment levels.
