SOUTH PARK: JOINING THE PANDERVERSE: THOUGHTS 💭

SOUTH PARK: JOINING THE PANDERVERSE is the most hilarious South Park episode in quite some time and brilliantly puts into perspective just how laughable a good portion of modern Disney entertainment has become. By shining a spotlight on how Kathleen Kennedy’s extreme woke politics have divided fanbases of various Disney properties and have repelled usually returning consumers, I believe there are at least two valuable lessons to be learned from this 47 minute special episode.

LESSON 1 is for Disney and other major Hollywood studio executives.

If you label your target audiences as “racist” or any other buzzword for voicing valid constructive criticism of content that falls well below their expectations, they are going to be pushed further away from investing their time and money in future projects.

LESSON 2 is for fans/consumers.

If we as fans/consumers of media want good entertainment that is free from divisive woke politics, whining like a petulant child and calling the studio executives names in fan mail or on social media will only make them use this as a means to crank out even more of the same toxic movies/shows that tear apart these various fanbases.

All in all, my hope is that Disney, other major Hollywood studios, and consumers alike can take notes on these things to improve mainstream entertainment going forward.

Just my two cents here.

Hats off to Trey Parker and Matt Stone for having the cojones to personify what we as fans and content consumers have been saying for the past few years. 👏
